We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Worker to join our team in Colchester, Essex. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing a supportive and nurturing environment for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities- Provide emotional support and guidance to young people during challenging times
- Foster ambition and assist in achieving goals and maximizing potential
- Support educational pursuits and maintain accurate records
- Empower young people to participate in decision-making and act as an advocate in meetings
- Encourage community engagement and expand personal social networks
- Meet the needs of children and young people, organizing social activities and maintaining the home
- Minimum age requirement: 21 years old
- Full UK driving license required
- No prior experience necessary, only a commitment and passion for working with young people
- Attendance at a 2-week training program required
- Must have availability for sleep-in shifts
- Access to complete NVQ Level 3 in Children's and Young People's Workforce up to Level 5 after passing 6-month probation
- Birthday off
- Comprehensive induction and training provided
- 2-3 shifts per week on a full-time basis for an excellent work-life balance
