{"Job Title": "Tssu Supervisor", "Job Summary": "We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tssu Supervisor to join our team at The Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth. As a key member of our Theatre Decontamination Unit, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day work of the team, ensuring that all instruments are correctly accounted for and tracked post-procedure, and providing supervision to the Decontamination Technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

* Receive contaminated reusable medical devices from the Theatre and ensure they are packaged ready for transport to the off-site sterilisation unit.
* Ensure all instruments are tracked as per national guidance.
* Ensure all reprocessed instruments are returned from the off-site sterilisation unit and returned to the correct areas within Theatre.

Job Responsibilities:

* Direct Line management of Tssu Staff.
* To ensure that contaminated reusable medical devices (Instruments) are processed according to the departmental policies as well as those of the off-site decontamination unit.
* To ensure that reusable medical devices are tracked according to national guidance.
* To liaise with Theatre Leads to ensure that Instruments are processed in a timely manner and are available for the planned surgery.
* To ensure that the contractual obligations of the off-site decontamination unit are met. Namely turnaround times and quality standards.

Person Specification:

* Good command of written and spoken English.
* Previous experience in either Theatre, Decontamination or Stores.
* Full understanding of the decontamination process.
* Good computer and numeracy skills.
* Ability to lead a team.

Desirable:

* Good Customer Service Skills.
* Accuracy And attention to detail.
* A high level of communication skills.
* Flexibility in response to needs of the department.
* Ability to deliver a high level of customer service to Theatre staff and Consultants.
