Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance and maintenance of boiler systems and plant operations, assisting the manufacturing division in monitoring and managing plant efficiency.
  • Oversee contractor management and control.
  • Maintain the integrity of the building and all facilities within the site, including plant rooms, compressors, and switchgear.
  • Engage in Facilities Engineering Technician tasks within the manufacturing environment.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts for utilities-related plant issues.
  • Identify and implement corrective measures for site operations.
  • Address and resolve breakdowns associated with utilities systems.
  • Conduct corrective maintenance activities.
  • Manage contractors performing utilities-related tasks.
  • Ensure compliance and maintenance of effluent treatment plants, supporting the manufacturing department in operational monitoring.
  • Contribute to achieving the manufacturing vision through continuous improvement initiatives and collaboration with colleagues to enhance site synergies.
  • Adhere to safety, quality, and hygiene standards.
  • Implement effective asset care programs and standardized maintenance protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Completion of a recognized apprenticeship.
  • Experience in maintenance of plant services, utilities, and facilities.
  • Preferred background in the manufacturing sector.
  • Mechanical or Electrical bias.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualifications.
  • Knowledge of utilities, boiler systems, refrigeration, water systems, PSSR, and LOLER regulations.
