Job Title: Clinical Lead Educator

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Lead Educator to join our team at the NHS. As a key member of our education team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical education and training to our staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver clinical education programs to clinicians at all levels.
  • Build strong links with external education providers to broaden our education offer and identify opportunities for education and partnerships.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Hospice to ensure our clinical workforce is equipped with the necessary skills to provide safe and effective care to our patients.
  • Lead the Education and Organisational Development team to plan, organise and deliver clinical and non-clinical education, training and organisational development across the Hospice.
  • Manage the education and organisational development budget effectively.
  • Develop and update educational policies to reflect local and national policy.
  • Contribute to Hospice Board and Committees to support the achievement of relevant business plan objectives and organisational strategy.
Requirements:
  • Experience of planning, delivering and evaluating education and training.
  • Understanding of the application of NMC and other professional codes of conduct to practice.
  • Teaching, assessment and presentation skills.
  • Ability to deliver face to face training to a large audience.
  • Advanced Word, Excel and Outlook skills.
Other:
  • An understanding of and demonstrable commitment to the Hospices Values as a framework for decisions, actions and behaviours.
  • Understanding and commitment to the aims of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
  • Full valid driving licence/use of own vehicle and able to travel across Central Lancashire, as required.
  • Teaching qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience of teaching to a high level of clinical expertise (or willing to undertake an agreed qualification).
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
