Senior Assembly Technician

To support a team of assembly technicians in delivering high-quality gearboxes and axles on time, while upholding the highest standards of productivity and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the team leader to plan and prioritize tasks, ensuring maximum productivity and meeting deadlines.
  2. Support the team in delivering monthly build targets to a high-quality standard, with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness.
  3. Develop and maintain expertise in assembly and testing of complex mechanical and hydraulic systems.
  4. Train and mentor others to a known standard, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
  5. Exercise autonomy in making operational decisions, with a focus on continuous improvement and problem-solving.

Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking:

  1. Apply logical thinking and analytical skills to resolve routine and complex problems, with a focus on innovative solutions.
  2. Contribute to investigations and implement continuous improvement initiatives, driving positive change and growth.
  3. Understand and apply industry knowledge and regulations, ensuring compliance and quality standards.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Expected to be on-site at the Leamington Spa site 5 days per week, with a permanent day shift role.
  2. May be required to support customer meetings and interactions.
  3. Minimum GCSE in Mathematics and English (Grade C or above), with a strong foundation in assembly and testing.
  4. Likely to have served a traditional apprenticeship or have relevant experience, with further vocational qualifications an advantage.
  5. Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and proactive approach, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
