Job Summary

Ringway Jacobs is seeking a highly skilled Drainage Manager to join our Operations Drainage Team in Cheshire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering an end-to-end highway drainage service, including routine maintenance, investigations, surveys, repairs, and improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive drainage program, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery of allocated works.
  • Lead a team of supervisors and support staff to plan, program, and organize delivery of the Council's drainage program and other commissioned work streams.
  • Ensure all projects comply with Health and Safety Regulations and CDM requirements, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Review and approve Supply Chain Partners' Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and COSHH for all allocated schemes.
  • Conduct site inductions, promoting Ringway Jacobs' Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality Procedures at all times.
  • Coordinate and integrate resources to deliver projects or programs, utilizing internal staff, shareholder resources, external consultants, and contractors as required.
  • Monitor Supply Chain Partners' performance, ensuring they meet agreed standards.
  • Prepare weekly progress reports and maintain daily site diaries.
  • Perform other duties as required to fulfill the role's objectives.
  • Manage team performance, ensuring they meet monthly requirements outlined in a Performance Management Framework.
  • Conduct annual Performance Development Reviews (PDRs) with team members, setting key objectives and ensuring timely delivery.
Requirements
  • Proven experience working in the construction industry, preferably in highways or a related field.
  • Experience in working with highway drainage systems, including maintenance and repair.
  • Experience undertaking construction work in the vicinity of underground services is preferred.
  • Experience in managing and delivering traffic management is preferred.
  • Current, full driving license.
