Community Engagement and Fundraising Opportunity

A dynamic role has become available within our client, a well-established charity in North London, to support the development of community engagement and fundraising initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with the Community Engagement Manager and Fundraising Director to build and maintain relationships with community groups, develop and launch new fundraising products, and engage the local community in high-value campaigns and events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and nurture relationships with community groups to grow the fundraising pipeline
  • Design and implement new fundraising initiatives, including third-party fundraising campaigns
  • Engage the local community in high-value campaigns and events, including the annual matched-funding campaign
  • Work outside of regular office hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet supporters and engage with the community
  • Travel across the charity's catchment area to meet supporters and build relationships
Requirements:
  • Experience in community engagement and fundraising, preferably in the charity sector
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with community groups and supporters
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours
  • Knowledge of fundraising principles and practices, with experience of developing and implementing fundraising campaigns
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary of £28,000 - £30,000 per annum, plus a great benefits package
  • Hybrid remote working / office-based arrangement, with 3 days per week in the office
