About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head Chef to lead our food manufacturing operations at Scoff Meals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the entire food manufacturing process, from ingredient preparation to cooking, packaging, and distribution.
  • Develop and refine recipes that can be consistently produced at scale, ensuring that each meal meets Scoff Meals' nutritional, taste, and quality standards.
  • Implement and continuously improve production processes to maximize efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure consistent quality.
  • Establish and maintain stringent quality control and food safety protocols, in compliance with local and national regulations.
  • Supervise and mentor the production team, providing training on best practices in food manufacturing.
  • Manage inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure a steady flow of high-quality ingredients.
  • Optimise procurement processes to minimise costs while maintaining quality.
  • Develop and manage the production budget, monitoring costs and implementing strategies to maintain profitability.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a senior role within a food manufacturing or large-scale food production environment.
  • Strong understanding of food manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies.
  • Expertise in food safety regulations, HACCP, and GMP compliance.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience in food production.
