About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Warehouse Engineer to join our team at rmg digital. As a Data Warehouse Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining big data infrastructure to support our fleet electrification product.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the transition from a relational database to a modern data warehousing stack, leveraging cloud infrastructure and big data technologies.
  • Improve the speed and efficiency of the product data pipeline, utilizing modern data processing techniques and tools.
  • Manage vast quantities of fleet operational data using modern big data practices, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Create autonomous, data-driven workflows using cloud infrastructure, collaborating with the DevOps team for agile development and customer onboarding.
  • Assist the Analytics team with big data challenges, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Promote data management best practices and standards across the organization, ensuring data governance and compliance.
Requirements
  • Background in STEM, Computer Science, or a related field, with work experience or equivalent expertise.
  • Extensive experience with Databricks or similar modern data stack providers, with a strong understanding of big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
  • Proficient in Python, SQL, and cloud-based data processing, with knowledge of CI/CD practices, Git, and cloud services for scalable compute.
  • Familiarity with AWS services (S3, Redshift, Lambda, Glue, etc.) and experience working with timeseries/geographic data.
