About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Warehouse Engineer to join our team at rmg digital. As a key member of our data team, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining our big data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the transition from a relational database to a modern data warehousing stack, ensuring seamless data processing and analysis.
  2. Improve the speed and efficiency of our product data pipeline, leveraging modern big data practices.
  3. Manage vast quantities of fleet operational data, utilizing expertise in Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
  4. Collaborate with our DevOps team for agile development and customer onboarding, ensuring scalable compute and efficient data processing.
  5. Assist our Analytics team with big data challenges, promoting data management best practices and standards across the organization.
Requirements
  1. Background in STEM, Computer Science, or a related field, with work experience or equivalent expertise.
  2. Extensive experience with Databricks or similar modern data stack providers.
  3. Proficient in Python, SQL, and cloud-based data processing, with knowledge of CI/CD practices, Git, and cloud services.
  4. Familiarity with AWS services (S3, Redshift, Lambda, Glue, etc.) and RESTful APIs, with experience working with timeseries/geographic data.
