Job Title: Data Engineering Specialist

BT Group is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cloud-based data solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop cloud-based data solutions using AWS and Google Data Products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and gather requirements for end-to-end data warehouse solutions.
  • Work with industry-standard ETL tools to design batch and real-time data processing pipelines.
  • Provide guidance on FinOps activities for controlling cloud cost.
  • Work with Data Governance Management software to ensure data quality and compliance.
Requirements:
  • Experience with analytic warehouse solutions, data movement, and performance/scalability improvements.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and Google Data Products, including BigQuery, Dataflow, and Dataproc.
  • Ability to identify and gather requirements for end-to-end data warehouse solutions.
  • Experience with ETL tools, such as Ab Initio/Streamsets or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of Rshiny/possit, Big Query, and other relevant technologies.
