Payroll Manager

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll process for our clients, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement and maintain payroll processing systems to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Process payroll transactions, including salaries, bonuses, benefits, attachments of earnings, taxes, and other deductions.
- Manage new employee onboarding, leavers, and changes in pay rates.
- Analyze payroll systems and processing software to identify areas for improvement.
- Manage fleet vehicles and fuel cards.
- Proven experience in payroll management, preferably in a large weekly/monthly industry payroll or as an existing Payroll Manager.
- Authority on payroll policy and systems.
- Ability to manage 3 direct reports and provide a full end-to-end payroll service to almost 800 employees.
- Master of MS Excel to optimize reporting methods for numerous weekly payees based in multiple sites across Wales.
- Subject-matter expert on payroll-related matters, keeping yourself and the team up to date with changes in law, tax, and best practice.
