Avionics Technical Services Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a key member of our technical services team, you will be responsible for delivering specialized support for intricate maintenance operations that extend beyond standard guidelines. Your expertise will be essential in:

  • Providing advanced technical assistance for maintenance activities that surpass conventional manuals.
  • Creating engineered solutions for complex system and engine challenges.
  • Collaborating with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and internal teams to secure approval for proposed solutions.
  • Addressing system and engine concerns, including the evaluation and implementation of Airworthiness Directives (AD) and Service Bulletins (SB).
  • Supporting the maintenance of the TUI fleet, which includes compiling man-hours and developing data packages.
  • Assessing technical instructions and offering constructive feedback to enhance operational processes.
  • Participating in hangar meetings to provide support and report any defects.
  • Assisting in the execution of modification engineering releases and suggesting program adjustments.
  • Coordinating with Part M departments to ensure compliance with airworthiness directives and service bulletins.
  • Representing TUI Airways in discussions with manufacturers and other airlines.
  • Managing work orders and repair schemes for additional work requirements.
  • Improving departmental procedures and ensuring technical follow-up during maintenance activities.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • CAA/EASA A or B License (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Completion of a recognized Aircraft Engineering apprenticeship.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in airline maintenance.
  • Thorough understanding of aircraft systems relevant to TUI Group Airlines.
  • Proficiency in utilizing AMM, CMM, IPC, WDM, SWPM, and OEM maintenance manuals.
  • Strong knowledge of NAA, Part M, CAMO, and Part 145 regulations.
  • Exceptional communication skills and awareness of Human Factors.
  • Skilled in engineering IT systems, Adobe applications, and drawing software.
