Avionics Technical Services Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a key player in our technical services team, you will be responsible for delivering high-level technical assistance for maintenance activities that exceed standard operational manuals. Your expertise will be crucial in developing tailored solutions for intricate systems and engine anomalies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide expert technical support for maintenance tasks that go beyond standard manuals.
  • Design engineered solutions for complex system and engine issues.
  • Collaborate with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and internal teams to secure solution approvals.
  • Address system and engine challenges, including evaluations and implementations of Airworthiness Directives (AD) and Service Bulletins (SB).
  • Support fleet maintenance activities, including compiling man-hours and creating data packages.
  • Assess technical instructions and offer constructive feedback to enhance processes.
  • Participate in hangar meetings, providing support and reporting on defects.
  • Assist in the execution of modification engineering releases and recommend necessary program changes.
  • Coordinate with Part M departments to ensure compliance with airworthiness directives and service bulletins.
  • Represent the company in discussions with manufacturers and airlines.
  • Oversee work orders and repair schemes for additional work requirements.
  • Improve departmental procedures and provide technical follow-up during maintenance operations.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • CAA/EASA A or B License (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Completion of a recognized Aircraft Engineering apprenticeship.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in airline maintenance.
  • Thorough understanding of aircraft systems relevant to the TUI Group.
  • Proficient in utilizing AMM, CMM, IPC, WDM, SWPM, and OEM maintenance manuals.
  • Strong knowledge of NAA, Part M, CAMO, and Part 145 regulations.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a solid grasp of Human Factors.
  • Skilled in engineering IT systems, Adobe, and drawing software.
