We are currently seeking a Lead Electrical Systems Engineer to contribute to a groundbreaking design initiative for a novel nuclear energy facility.



Key Responsibilities:
As a Lead Electrical Systems Engineer, you will provide specialized knowledge throughout the entire lifecycle of Electrical Systems for the nuclear power facility.

Your role will encompass the comprehensive design of Electrical systems, including system architecture, sub-system design, and equipment specification and selection, culminating in the final verified design of the energy station.

You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams and employ a structured systems engineering methodology to achieve optimal design outcomes.

Essential Qualifications:
Experience in the nuclear sector is advantageous; however, a solid background in managing electrical systems within regulated industries (such as Defence, Aerospace, Rail, Automotive, Oil & Gas, etc.) will be beneficial for this role.

Educational Requirements:
A degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline is required.
Candidates without a degree but with relevant experience may also be considered.

Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary ranging from £48,000 to £62,500, along with:
  • Performance-related bonus of up to 12.5%
  • Benefits Allowance – £2,200, allowing for a customized benefits package
  • Pension contributions of 12% from the employer and 6% from the employee
  • 28 days of annual leave (+ public holidays) with the option to buy or sell up to 4 days
  • Private Medical Insurance with BUPA single cover
  • Life Assurance at 6x pensionable pay
  • One-off payment for new starters for home office setup
