We're recruiting for an Electrical Systems Manager to deliver an industry-leading, cutting-edge design project for a new type of nuclear power station.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical leadership and expertise across the lifecycle of Electrical Systems for the SMR nuclear power plant.
- Develop and manage a team of electrical engineers, setting the work plan on a number of cross cutting topics.
- Work closely with engineering teams from across the power station, applying a structured systems engineering approach to design.
- Manage the delivery of the complete design of the identified systems, spanning system architecture, sub-system design and equipment specification and design/selection.
- Proven experience in electrical power engineering in a design function, with experience in the design of modular HV and LV distribution systems and cable systems.
- Demonstration of technically reviewing and approving design outputs from other discipline engineers.
- Knowledge in using electrical design packages to perform electrical system analysis and develop cable system design.
- Experience with developing electrical requirements to support HV and LV electrical architecture.
- Salary between £57,600 to £75,600.
- Bonus - Performance related bonus of up to 12.5%.
- Benefits Allowance - £2,200, enabling you to create a bespoke package.
- Pension - 12% employer and 6% employee contributions.
- Holidays - 28 days holiday (+ public holidays) and the ability to buy or sell up to 4 days.
- Private Medical Insurance - BUPA single cover health care.
- Life Assurance - 6x pensionable pay.
