Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Tower Hamlets. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, providing individualized support and creating a nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, promoting social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), working closely with teachers and other staff to create a tailored learning experience.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create an inclusive classroom environment, fostering a culture of respect and understanding.
  • Support students in developing social, emotional, and academic skills, monitoring and recording progress to inform teaching practices.
  • Assist with classroom management and behavior support, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
