SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our outstanding special needs school community in Enfield. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance to children with diverse learning needs, ensuring they have the best possible educational experience.

About the Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide dedicated support in the mornings, focusing on assisting students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, including ADHD diagnosis and potential self-harming behavior. You will also offer crucial assistance in the afternoons, aiding students and remaining flexible to work across Key Stages 1 and 2.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEMH needs, including ADHD diagnosis and potential self-harming behavior.
  • Assist students in the afternoons, working across Key Stages 1 and 2.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and SENCO to implement tailored support plans and interventions.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant qualifications and/or training in education, SEN, or child development are desirable.
