Reservationist Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Reservationist to manage our brand's reservation system, ensuring seamless dining experiences for our guests. Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle all incoming reservation requests via phone, email, and online platforms, ensuring accurate recording and confirmation.
  • Manage the reservation system and seating arrangements to optimize table availability and guest flow.
  • Communicate with guests to confirm reservations, answer questions, and accommodate special requests or dietary needs.
  • Assist in coordinating large parties, private events, and special occasions, working closely with the restaurant management team.
  • Monitor the restaurant's seating capacity, ensuring reservations are spaced appropriately to avoid overbooking.
  • Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with guests, addressing inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Keep accurate records of guest preferences and special requests to enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Collaborate with the restaurant management team to ensure effective communication of last-minute changes to reservations.
  • Stay informed about the restaurant's menu, specials, promotions, and events to provide up-to-date information to guests.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Reservationist or in a similar role within a hospitality or restaurant setting.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a warm and professional demeanor.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple reservations and guest requests.
  • Proficiency with reservation management systems (experience with platforms like OpenTable or SevenRooms is preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve guest issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • A passion for providing exceptional guest experiences and contributing to a positive team environment.
