Position Overview

The Abdominal Medicine and Surgery Clinical Service Unit is seeking a dedicated Liver Transplant Specialist Coordinator to enhance our team, focusing on the care of patients undergoing transplant evaluations and managing waiting lists.

Role Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care throughout the transplant process.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of specialized services for transplantation within the organization.
  • Manage a caseload of patients, ensuring appropriate referrals to medical, surgical, psychological, and social services.
  • Act as a key liaison for organ donation and transplantation, promoting best practices and adherence to national standards.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, coordinating organ referrals and transplant surgeries efficiently.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Registered Nurse (Level 1 or 2) or Registered Allied Health Professional.
