Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Anaesthetist to join our team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality anaesthetic services to our patients, while also contributing to the development and implementation of our anaesthesia department's strategic plans.

Main Duties

The post-holder will be expected to:

  • Provide expert anaesthetic care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
  • Develop and implement anaesthesia protocols and guidelines
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs
  • Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • FRCA or equivalent qualification
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Current GMC registration and a valid license to practice
  • Advanced training in Hepatobiliary Anaesthesia and experience of Liver Transplant Anaesthesia
  • Experience in training undergraduate medical students and postgraduate doctors
  • Ability to carry out medical research and participate in clinical audit
