About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team at the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC). As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing complex projects across the full lifecycle, from initiation to delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage projects across the full lifecycle, from initiation to delivery
  • Develop and implement project plans, including project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Manage and coordinate project teams, including stakeholders, vendors, and contractors
  • Ensure project deliverables are met on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, and develop contingency plans as needed
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including project sponsors, customers, and vendors
  • Ensure compliance with project management methodologies, policies, and procedures
Requirements
  • Proven experience in project management, with a strong track record of delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate project teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, policies, and procedures
