Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for planning and managing complex construction projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage complex construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Review incoming projects and allocate the necessary internal staff resources to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Identify and interpret project design criteria, engaging specialist sub-contractors and personnel to identify solutions for implementation.
  • Form the main point of contact between the client, stakeholders, and the GRAHAM team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Engage sub-contractors and support the commercial team in surveying sites prior to construction, ensuring all necessary preparations are made.
  • Ensure all aspects of the project are effectively planned, monitored, and controlled, delivering the project within the agreed programme and budget.
  • Provide support and guidance to project managers and the delivery team, ensuring they have the necessary resources and expertise to deliver high-quality projects.
  • Ensure all company procedures are being complied with, including health, safety, environmental, and quality management procedures.
  • Be responsible for achieving high standards of quality and workmanship on site, ensuring adherence to site-specific protocol and procedures.
  • Manage and monitor sub-contractors, scheduling and chairing regular progress meetings and compiling progress reports for presentation to the client.
  • Compile and distribute project meeting minutes, maintaining contractual records of all project-related matters via CEMAR.
  • Attend and provide input on regular contract meetings with the client, introducing improvements and innovations where appropriate.
  • Positively promote the company wherever and whenever possible, compiling and submitting O&M manuals upon project completion.

About You

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled Construction Project Manager who can demonstrate the following:

  • Previous experience in a senior project management role, with a strong track record of delivering complex construction projects.
  • Strong communication and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Experience in the delivery of commercial projects up to a value of £1 million.
  • Ability to manage and deliver numerous concurrent projects of varying financial values and scope.
  • Ability to plan and programme projects using MS Project.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to clients and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge or understanding of NEC 4 contracts (desirable).
  • Ability to use CEMAR (desirable).
