Job Summary

The Finance Manager will work closely with the Management Team to produce all accounting documents, facilitating board reporting functions for all financial aspects of the firm. The role involves inputting sales and purchases onto SAP and managing day-to-day reporting requirements. Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing invoices and credit notes, organizing payments, and managing credit control
  • Monthly creation and processing of payroll (Moneysoft), including RTI & pensions submissions, and associated staff benefits
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Liaising with an external accountant and assisting in the preparation of year-end accounts
  • Providing reports and updates to the Management Team, as required
  • Management Accountants and KPI analysis
  • Ad-hoc commercial reports for the senior leadership team
  • HR administration
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a finance function within the Engineering sector
  • Understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations
  • Proficiency in the use of SAP and Excel
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build and manage relationships at all levels
