Credit Controller Administrator (6 months Fixed Term Contract)

Our Finance team is now looking for a Credit Control Administrator to be based at our Blackburn Head Office, on a 6-month fixed term contract.

The Credit Control Administrator will support various finance administration duties for pre-payment and credit billing services and play a key role in the successful collection of payments.

Our Finance team was recently awarded the Finance Team of the Year (20+ people) at the Northwest Finance Awards. While this is a fixed-term position, it presents a fantastic opportunity to join a great team, and with our ongoing growth, there is potential for further opportunities in the future. We are a team that fosters continuous internal progression and actively encourages internal promotion, providing ample room for development and advancement within the organisation.

We are supporting Hospitals, Universities, New Build developments, Towns and Cities as well as Industrial and Commercial clients to decarbonise their buildings. We have, and continue to, work on ground-breaking projects throughout the UK that are really making a difference to achieve our Net Zero targets, and we were recently recognised for this by our Industry Association, awarding us the Contribution to Net Zero award.

Chasing customer debts and collaborating with the commercial department

* Reconciling daily banking transactions

* Raising Sales Ledger invoices

* Setting up new customer accounts

* Performing ad hoc administrative duties as needed

Previous experience in a credit control role is crucial

* Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including excellent knowledge of Excel and Word

* Ability to meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision

* Flexible approach to working hours and practices to accommodate the needs of the role

* Must pass a CRB check (financial credit check)

* A finance qualification such as AAT is desirable but not essential
