R&D Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced R&D Engineer to join our team at Central Employment Agency (North East) Limited. As an R&D Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of new products, working closely with our R&D team to create innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the R&D team to discuss product ideas and propose ways of product materialization.
  • Conduct market research and evaluate similar products and their functions.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing department and the rest of the R&D team on product feasibility.
  • Redesign existing products to enhance functionality or reduce costs.
  • Presentation of product designs to management and stakeholders.
  • Testing prototype products for functionality, ease-of-use, and longevity.
  • Resolving product issues.
Essential Requirements:
  • Masters / Bachelor's degree in engineering, or relevant field.
  • Knowledge of: Digital Signal Processing, Analog and digital electronics.
  • UK Driving Licence
  • Knowledge of embedded electronics
  • Knowledge of embedded programming
  • Knowledge of PCB design
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Comfortable communicating with stakeholders internal/external
  • Ability to convey technical information with passion to a lay person
  • Keen hobbyist of electronics/mechanics with ongoing personal projects
