The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our dynamic Finance Team. As a key member of our Accounts Payable team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, providing excellent customer service to internal teams and suppliers, and ensuring the efficient processing of invoices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Process a high volume of purchase ledger invoices, meeting set KPI targets and ensuring timely payment to suppliers.
  2. Liaise with suppliers, resolving any invoice or account discrepancies, and providing exceptional customer service.
  3. Assist with supplier statement reconciliations and support month-end and year-end processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  4. Answer supplier telephone queries in a professional and confident manner, providing clear and concise information.
  5. Support process improvements and drive efficiencies within the Accounts Payable team, contributing to the success of our finance operations.

What We're Looking For:

We are seeking a candidate with:

  1. Essential Requirements:
  1. AAT qualification or equivalent, with experience in a Purchase Ledger role.
  2. Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  3. A positive, can-do attitude with a passion for teamwork and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Desirable Skills:

  1. Experience with SAP and advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables.
