Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Asset Integrity Specialist to join our team at Sigma Recruitment. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing a key pipework inspection contract with external experts, planning and executing inspections, contributing to Predictive Maintenance and asset management, ensuring compliance with quality and compliance systems, and writing reports.
Key Responsibilities- Contract management: Manage a key pipework inspection contract with external experts, ensuring timely and effective execution.
- Planning inspections: Arrange inspections as required and manage their execution, ensuring all necessary resources are allocated.
- Contributing to PPM and asset management: Collaborate with the team to develop and implement Predictive Maintenance and asset management strategies, ensuring optimal asset performance and minimizing downtime.
- Compliance: Ensure all inspection data is organized and maintained to support quality and compliance systems, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Report writing: Write comprehensive reports on inspection findings, recommendations, and actions taken, providing valuable insights to stakeholders.
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a HNC/HND with significant pipework/asset integrity experience.
- Expertise with pressure safety systems (PSSR) / ASME qualification, or asset integrity experience on a COMAH site.
- Experience in managing external inspection contracts, ensuring effective collaboration and communication with contractors.
- You will likely have worked as an asset engineer, integrity engineer, reliability engineer, mechanical engineer, inspection engineer, or similar.
We offer a competitive salary of up to £70,000 (dependent on experience), a relocation allowance of up to £24,000, and a comprehensive benefits package, including pension top-up, employer pension contribution, bonus, private medical cover, dental insurance, travel insurance, life assurance, income protection, gym subsist, subsidised on-site canteen, electric car leasing scheme, cycle to work scheme, accident insurance, and childcare vouchers.
Working HoursWe offer flexible working hours, with a start time of 7:30 am-9 am and a finish time of 4:30 pm-6 pm, allowing you to balance your work and personal life effectively.
