About Us: Creative Support is a prominent, rapidly expanding non-profit organization dedicated to providing essential assistance to individuals in need.
Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to deliver tailored support to adults with learning disabilities residing in our supported living facility. The ideal candidate will embody a positive attitude and understand the principles of positive behavior support, ensuring that all service users experience an enhanced quality of life and foster independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate flexibility in working hours to meet the service's needs, including shifts during days, nights, and weekends on a rotational basis.
- Uphold and advocate for the rights and entitlements of individuals with learning disabilities, challenging behaviors, and physical disabilities, enabling them to engage fully in their communities and maintain social connections.
- Provide dignified personal care in alignment with the preferences and routines specified in each individual's support plan.
- Assist service users in ensuring their living environments are safe, secure, clean, and comfortable.
- Adapt to the evolving needs and preferences of service users.
While prior experience is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite for this role. We are looking for individuals who possess the right values and are eager to positively impact the lives of service users.
Additional Information: A valid driving license is preferred but not mandatory.
We provide comprehensive training and opportunities to pursue a QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care. Benefits of joining Creative Support include a probationary bonus, pension contributions, 28 days of leave, and company-funded enhanced DBS checks.
