Job Title: Head of Operations Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Head of Operations Manager to join our team at Distinct Consultancy. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the operations function and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Proactively manage the operation and build depot activities with a right first time culture.
  • Commercial Management: Manage the commercial operation of the depot to ensure the profit budget target is met or exceeded.
  • Team Management: Manage the depot management team to drive operational efficiencies, service excellence, and productivity in order to deliver a profitable service to customers and meet KPIs.
  • People Leadership: Demonstrate the expected behaviours and standards of a people leader to recruit, engage, and develop the capability of our people and generate the right customer service culture for the business.
  • Relationship Management: Support and work with the sales teams in order to ensure the development and retention of accounts and maximise the commercial opportunities available.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Oversee that all legal regulations and company standards are adhered to at all times to ensure the compliance of the depot.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Experience of setting up new depots/distribution centres would be a plus but not essential.
  • Leadership: Evidence of an effective track record of people management and leadership.
  • Commercial Acumen: Understanding and evidence of being able to run a commercial operation effectively as well as an understanding of sales and the sales force.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience and understanding of the food service/distribution market place and running a distribution environment.
  • Project Management: Project management experience.
  • IT Literacy: IT literacy.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Salary: A competitive basic salary of £70,000-£75,000.
  • Car Allowance: A car allowance of £8,350.
  • Bonus Scheme: An annual/quarterly bonus scheme (20-30% annually).
