About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced People Development Specialist to join our team at Parkinson's UK. As a key member of our People team, you will play a vital role in supporting our business partners and contributing to the development and implementation of our people strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality specialist advice and guidance to managers on a range of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and employee wellbeing.
  • Work closely with the People Operations Lead to develop and implement HR policies and practices that support the needs of our business and our employees.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of our people strategy, working closely with the wider People & Culture team.
  • Provide coaching and support to managers to enable them to effectively lead and develop their teams.
  • Manage a range of employee relations case work and recruitment campaigns, using your influencing and negotiation skills to support managers in delivering effective and fair ER processes.
Requirements
  • Proven experience of managing a range of employee relations case work and recruitment campaigns.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills, with the ability to support managers in delivering effective and fair ER processes.
  • Excellent understanding of HR legislation and best practice.
  • Ability to work as part of a team of subject matter experts and contribute to the development of consistent practices across the charity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with data and metrics to inform HR decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with managers and employees at all levels.
