About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our strategic development efforts, focusing on building key partnerships and collaborations to enhance services for adults with learning disabilities.

This exciting opportunity is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, and we are looking for a creative and strategic thinker to join our team at The Open Door Centre Ltd.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver a Strategic Business Plan in collaboration with trustees, staff, volunteers, and members.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key partners on behalf of The Open Door Centre.
  • Diversify fundraising streams, including grants and income generation, in line with the strategy and business development plan.
  • Explore and develop joint grant bids with external partners to support applications that align with our strategic objectives.
  • Implement effective systems and processes for funder reporting, review meetings, and monitoring fundraising Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Requirements
  1. Proven experience in third-sector fundraising, including corporate fundraising, funder reporting, and grants.
  2. A proactive approach to engaging with new and existing funders to establish lasting relationships.
  3. Ability to prepare high-quality funding proposals and reports, adapting communication style for different audiences and stakeholders.
  4. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to gather information and enthuse individuals internally and externally.
  5. Effective time management and prioritization skills to meet deadlines.
  6. Strong organizational skills, including a firm understanding of KPIs, targets, budgeting, and risk mitigation plans.
  7. Proactive, positive, and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and inspire others.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, the internet, and social media.
