About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Approvals Engineer to join our client's team at The Recruitment Group. As an Approvals Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our client's products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the technical authority for all legislative compliance and product safety, ensuring that all products meet the required certifications and standards.
  • Conduct detailed testing on new and existing products, generating reports for use in manuals and other documentation.
  • Maintain and update approvals/certifications on units to the latest relevant standards, ensuring that all products are compliant with global legal safety requirements.
  • Carry out inspections and analysis of products to enable product certification, maintaining a product compliance database that supports the business's needs.
  • Participate in the design of new products to ensure compliance with required certifications, maintaining a working knowledge of current worldwide compliance regulations and directives.
  • Act as the point of contact for all external compliance testing, ensuring that all technical manuals and product documents are correct and in accordance with the relevant directives and standards.
  • Regularly audit company procedures, practices, and documents to identify possible weaknesses or risks, ensuring that all technical manuals and product documents are correct and in accordance with the relevant directives and standards.
Requirements
  • Health & Safety knowledge, especially in relation to electronics and electrical installations.
  • Meticulous & accurate documentation skills.
  • Technical, analytical, and able to pick up new technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment with some electrical/mechanical knowledge.
  • Quality or inspection experience.
  • PAT & Flash (Hi-pot) testing.
