Job Summary:

Torfaen County Borough Council is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a School Holiday Play and Wellbeing Site Supervisor. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of play-based activities during school holidays, promoting positive mental and physical wellbeing among children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of staff and volunteers to deliver play-based activities within a provision that encourages positive mental and physical wellbeing.
  • Develop and implement play-based programs that cater to the diverse needs of children and young people.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth operation of holiday programs, including planning, preparation, and evaluation.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff and volunteers to ensure they are equipped to deliver high-quality play-based activities.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote the wellbeing of children and young people.

Requirements:

  • Relevant level 3 qualification in Playwork, Youthwork, Early Years Care, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in Playwork, Youthwork, or Early Years, with a focus on promoting positive wellbeing among children and young people.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to ensure the smooth operation of holiday programs.
