REPORTS TO: Warehouse Supervisor

WORKING HOURS: Afternoon Shift

COMPENSATION: Includes late shift allowances.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Warehouse Team Leader at CDW UK plays a pivotal role in guiding, motivating, and enhancing the performance of a dedicated team of warehouse professionals in a fast-paced environment. The objective is to ensure that all products are processed accurately and delivered to customers efficiently. Team leaders are responsible for maintaining operational standards, optimizing processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and inspire a team of warehouse staff, focusing on team morale and productivity.
  • Demonstrate best practices by working alongside team members to promote organized and efficient operations.
  • Oversee workload distribution, ensuring that priorities and urgent tasks are communicated effectively.
  • Assist in scheduling and project management to meet established timelines and expectations.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization within the warehouse.
  • Ensure the team operates in a cost-effective and efficient manner at all times.
  • Develop and implement accurate processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Support the continuous development of the team in alignment with the company's strategic vision.
  • Collaborate with other team leaders to ensure seamless operations across departments.
  • Establish and uphold excellent service levels while identifying areas for improvement.
  • Investigate and resolve operational issues, prioritizing customer satisfaction.
  • Identify training needs and work with the training team to address skills gaps.
  • Conduct quality checks on warehouse operations.
  • Facilitate one-on-one meetings with team members to discuss performance and development.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to interact effectively with customers and sales teams.
  • Commitment to maintaining health and safety standards.
  • Experience in quality assurance processes.
  • Understanding of the interdependencies between departments.
