ROLE SUMMARY

The Warehouse Team Leader at CDW UK plays a crucial role in guiding, motivating, and enhancing the performance of a dedicated team within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The primary focus is to ensure that products are processed accurately and delivered to customers in a timely manner. Team leaders are responsible for upholding operational standards, continuously improving processes, and fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and inspire a team of warehouse personnel, ensuring high morale and motivation.
  • Work alongside team members to demonstrate best practices and promote organized workflows.
  • Oversee workload distribution, ensuring all team members are aware of priorities and urgent tasks.
  • Assist in planning project timelines to meet customer expectations effectively.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse at all times.
  • Ensure the team operates in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
  • Develop and implement accurate and efficient operational processes.
  • Support the ongoing development of the department in alignment with the company's strategic vision.
  • Collaborate with other team leaders to ensure seamless operations and timely fulfillment of orders.
  • Establish and maintain exceptional service levels while identifying areas for improvement.
  • Investigate and resolve operational issues, prioritizing customer satisfaction.
  • Identify skill gaps within the team and coordinate training efforts accordingly.
  • Conduct quality checks on warehouse operations.

  • Develop annual performance plans for team members.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards.
  • Experience in quality assurance processes.
  • Understanding of interdepartmental dynamics and customer relations.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

  • Experience in a fast-paced technical or logistics environment.
