WORKING HOURS: Afternoon Shift

ROLE SUMMARY

The Warehouse Team Leader at CDW UK plays a pivotal role in guiding, motivating, and developing a proficient team of warehouse staff in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Upholding high standards is essential to ensure that our products are delivered to customers accurately and punctually. The team leader is responsible for ensuring adherence to processes, continuous improvement, and effective team engagement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and inspire a team of warehouse personnel, focusing on team morale and motivation.
  • Demonstrate best practices by working alongside team members to promote organized and efficient operations.
  • Assist in workload distribution, ensuring that priorities and urgent tasks are communicated effectively.
  • Support project scheduling to align expectations and meet deadlines.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards within the warehouse.
  • Ensure the team operates in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
  • Facilitate the creation and adherence to accurate and efficient operational processes.
  • Promote continuous development of the department in alignment with the company's strategic vision.
  • Collaborate with other team leaders to ensure seamless operations and timely order fulfillment.
  • Establish and uphold excellent service levels, while actively seeking areas for improvement.
  • Investigate and resolve operational issues, prioritizing customer satisfaction.
  • Identify skill gaps within the team and coordinate training efforts.
  • Conduct quality checks on warehouse operations.
  • Hold regular one-on-one meetings with team members.
  • Implement annual performance reviews for team members.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles with effective communication abilities.
  • Commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards.
  • Experience in quality assurance processes.
  • Understanding of interdepartmental impacts within a logistics framework.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in a fast-paced technical or warehouse setting.
  • Understanding of commercial organizational structures.
  • Background as a warehouse technician is advantageous.
  • Passion for the logistics and supply chain industry.
  • Awareness of industry standards and CDW's role within it.
  • Business management acumen with a focus on customer service excellence.
