Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Opportunity

Tetra Tech is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Cockermouth office and contribute to a variety of high-profile projects throughout the UK, with a strong focus on Nuclear.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed mechanical engineering drawings and models using Autodesk Inventor
  • Develop and implement mechanical design calculations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, construction teams, and manufacturers to deliver projects
  • Lead junior engineers, managing project work and ensuring project requirements are met
  • Review and approve design work, ensuring compliance with industry standards and protocols

Requirements:

  • Proficient in CAD modeling and drawing to BS8888 in Inventor
  • Experience in pipe design and detailing, with a strong understanding of GD&T
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices
