Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Nuclear Projects

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to work on a variety of high-profile projects throughout the UK, with a strong emphasis on Nuclear.

The post will offer the successful applicant an interesting and challenging workload, as well as opportunities for career development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create Mechanical engineering drawings and models using Autodesk Inventor

• Produce mechanical design calculations

• Collaborate with other disciplines, construction teams, and manufacturers

• Lead Junior engineers, managing project work and across the project team

• Meet project requirements in collaboration with other disciplines

• Review project files for compliance with Standards/protocols Implement best practice procedure

• Checking and approval of design work

Key Skills and Experience:

• Proficient in CAD modelling and drawing to BS8888 in inventor

• Experience of Pipe Design

• Experience detailing and doing GD&T

• Experience of delivering projects to challenging deadlines

• Knowledge of industry standards

• Able to work on own initiative

• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
