Position Overview

We are in search of a motivated and committed Trainee Facilities Assistant to support our operations at Zeeco Europe Ltd. In this position, you will collaborate closely with the Facilities Manager to ensure the efficient functioning of our site by managing grounds upkeep, minor repairs, routine maintenance, and assisting with scheduled maintenance programs. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain the company’s equipment, resources, and overall infrastructure, ensuring a safe and well-maintained working environment for all personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working alongside a multi-disciplinary team to uphold high standards of both planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Executing routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and inspections across various services within our manufacturing facility.
  • Conducting weekly fire alarm tests and emergency evacuation drills.
  • Assisting with building and grounds maintenance.
  • Complying with all regulations and safety protocols.
  • Supporting site security and maintaining utilities and communication systems.
  • Following daily schedules as directed by the Facilities Manager.
  • Addressing queries and urgent issues as they arise.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring all equipment is inspected in accordance with the maintenance schedule.
  • Documenting daily, weekly, and monthly inspections to support the maintenance and inspection schedule for both the workshop and Zeeco premises.
  • Actively participating in the enhancement and maintenance of Zeeco's Integrated Management System, in alignment with ISO standards (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018).
  • Promoting and adhering to the company's Health and Safety Policy to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Attending mandatory training sessions as required for the role.

Candidate Profile:

  • Basic understanding of general construction trades, including carpentry, plumbing, and basic electrical work.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • A collaborative team player.
  • Resourceful, well-organized, and highly reliable.
  • A proactive problem-solver with a positive attitude.
  • Basic knowledge of building management and services.
  • Ability to take initiative and manage tasks independently.
  • Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance and possess a valid driving license.
