Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Humanities Teaching Assistant to join our team at EdEx Education Recruitment. As a Humanities Teaching Assistant, you will provide support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and SEMH needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SpLD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students of different ages and abilities
  • Assist class teachers with humanities-based subjects, including history, philosophy, religion, geography, and languages
  • Support students throughout Key Stages 3, 4, and 5
  • Work closely with the school's SEND and SEMH teams to develop and implement individualized support plans

Requirements:

  • Strong academic background in humanities, including a 2:1 or 1st class degree
  • Previous experience working with children of all abilities and ages
  • Passion for learning and making a positive difference in the lives of students
  • Extensive understanding of SEND and SEMH needs
