Special Educational Needs Inclusion Consultant (full time)

Full Time, 37 hours per week
Salary Range: £41,514 to £48,841 per annum
Position Overview:
As a Special Educational Needs Inclusion Consultant at Essex County Council, you will be instrumental in fostering positive outcomes for children and young individuals with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Your role will involve collaborating with educational institutions, including schools and colleges, to advocate for inclusion and enhance support mechanisms for children and young people with SEND.
Key Duties:
- Assess and refine educational practices to elevate outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
- Deliver exceptional support to educational settings to facilitate inclusive education.
- Share specialized knowledge in targeted areas of SEND.
- Engage strategically with educational organizations to enhance capacity and assess service provision.
- Identify and implement focused support for children facing severe and complex SEND challenges.
- Effectively manage intricate casework and conduct annual reviews.
- Establish and meet objectives within the performance management framework.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Possess a qualification at RQF level 6 with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Engage in ongoing professional development in relevant SEND fields.
- Demonstrate substantial teaching experience with children who have SEND.
- Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of SEND legislation and the Code of Practice.
- Show proven capability in building robust working relationships and providing training.
- Drive collaborative cultural, strategic, and operational change.
