About the Role

As the Head of Transition, you'll play a crucial role in leading the development and delivery of the Transition phase for the Goods For Resale (GFR) Programme. Working closely with the GFR Head of Programme and SRO, you'll ensure the effective delivery of the programme's strategic objectives and support the establishment and transition of new organisational capabilities in process and data management across Finance.

Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
  1. Developing a detailed Transition Framework to support the Transition phase
  2. Defining and documenting the agreed transition approach and plan, ensuring delivery aligns with the overall programme while minimising operational risk
  3. Ensuring the effectiveness and performance of the programme organisation and operational performance in readiness for Transition
  4. Ensuring business operations are stable and consistent with controls and measures in place to support Transition
  5. Ensuring all users have effectively adopted new processes and ways of working before the end of hypercare
  6. Ensuring the programme delivers a coherent capability, achieves its strategic outcomes, and realises its benefits
  7. Ensuring effective Business and User acceptance testing, as well as operational testing, controls, and reporting throughout Transition, Go Live, and Hypercare
  8. Ensuring the programme's increased governance arrangements and appropriate assurance during Transition are in place and understood
  9. Ensuring all risks, issues, and dependencies have been addressed pre-Go Live and Go/No Go criteria have been achieved
  10. Maintaining the interface with key senior stakeholders, keeping them engaged and informed, monitoring, and updating on key strategic risks facing the programme during the Transition phase
  11. Ensuring assurance and audit reviews in respect of Transition management activities and progress

What You'll Need
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
  1. Significant experience managing complex, multi-workstream Finance Change programmes
  2. Experience of developing a change organisation
  3. Experience designing and implementing operating model change in large organisations
  4. Experience of cross-functional change in a large organisation

  6. 26 weeks maternity and adoption leave (after 1 year's service) at full pay, followed by 13 weeks of Statutory Maternity Pay or Statutory Adoption Pay, we also offer 4 weeks fully paid paternity leave
