Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Water Distribution Technician to enhance our operations. This role is designed for a self-driven individual eager to apply their practical skills in a collaborative environment. The position is full-time, offering a competitive salary range based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving complaints effectively.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on network assets to ensure continuous supply and optimal water quality.
- Proactively prevent supply interruptions and implement necessary mitigation strategies when issues arise.
- Ensure compliance with quality regulations while maintaining customer trust in our water services.
- Collaborate with the Drinking Water Services team and external partners to conduct both planned and reactive maintenance across the distribution network.
Qualifications:
- Five GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades A-C, including Maths, English, and a Science subject.
- Experience in standby rotations and responding to urgent operational challenges.
- Proficiency in computer systems, including MS Office and GIS.
- A full clean UK Driver's License.
Desirable Skills:
- Relevant qualifications in water networks or similar disciplines.
- Knowledge of streetworks regulations and hydraulic systems.
- Previous experience in water distribution operations.
