Main Responsibilities

As a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer at WGM Engineering Ltd, you will provide critical support to project teams across the business, driving the development of innovative solutions to meet client needs.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify project requirements and develop workable solutions.
  • Conduct site-based surveys to gather information and data, informing the design process.
  • Manage detailed design tasks, ensuring client specifications are met.
  • Lead the production of design deliverables, providing technical guidance to projects as needed.
  • Review and approve design packages produced by other designers.
  • Present designs at internal and external review meetings.
  • Stay up-to-date with advances in mechanical design and technology, contributing to the team's Continuous Professional Development.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will have at least 3-5 years of design experience, preferably in a mechanical engineering or construction environment. A strong background in mechanical design and knowledge of the water or wastewater sector are highly desirable. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders are essential.
