At 2 Sisters Food Group, we take pride in being essential workers, contributing significantly to the food industry. We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance professional to enhance our team.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 12:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Compensation: £12.67 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify compliance with Food Safety & Quality Management Systems (FSQMS) and HACCP protocols to uphold certifications and standards.
  • Ensure production specifications are met, identifying and addressing any deviations promptly.
  • Conduct microbiological and chemical sampling of products and surfaces as necessary.
  • Participate in factory trials for new product introductions.
  • Audit factory processes to ensure adherence to technical and quality policies, taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Engage in customer and third-party audits, showcasing QA tasks as required.
  • Assist in investigating complaints to determine root causes and monitor corrective actions.
  • Manage non-conforming stock in accordance with company procedures, ensuring proper communication and authorization.
  • Ensure timely and accurate printing of labels in line with company standards.
  • Communicate and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Contribute to site projects, ensuring food safety and quality requirements are integrated and maintained.
  • Represent the site in discussions regarding food safety and quality systems with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
  • Perform additional tasks related to the effective operation and continuous improvement of FSQMS and quality standards.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Qualifications: (Preferred but not mandatory)
    • Level 3 Food Safety Certification
    • Level 3 HACCP Certification
  • Experience:
    • At least 3 years in a food manufacturing setting.
    • Essential previous experience in a QA role.
    • Proven ability to manage teams and develop personnel.
    • Strong understanding of cleaning protocols.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
    • Proficient in written and spoken English.
    • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
    • Able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
    • Capable of prioritizing and organizing workload to meet deadlines.
    • Self-motivated and resilient.
    • Effective problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment.
