At 2 Sisters Food Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our team on a maternity cover basis. As a key member of our QA team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality across our operations.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in food safety and quality assurance, with experience in a supervisory role. You will be responsible for managing the daily running of QA operations, implementing effective procedures, and monitoring customer and consumer complaints.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the daily running of QA operations to ensure operational implementation of all statutory obligations, customer requirements, and company policies.
  • Implementing effective procedures and factory floor verification activities to ensure operational and technical integrity at all times.
  • Monitoring customer and consumer complaints for trends on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Implementing and following up on any corrective and preventative actions agreed for continuous improvements.
  • Managing finished product hold and release systems to ensure timely availability of finished products to the supply chain.
  • Managing the introduction of variable labelling requirements into operational activities.
  • Ensuring all sampling requirements on shift are met in line with the verification schedule.
  • Ensuring all test equipment used on shift are calibrated and maintained within calibration standards.
  • Supporting the Site QA Manager in the maintenance of the pest control contract.
  • Ensuring organoleptic and all other test databases are accurately maintained.
  • Communicating, liaising, and escalating issues where necessary.
  • Participating in site projects and ensuring that food safety and quality requirements are considered.
  • Representing the company in matters related to food safety and quality to external regulatory bodies and customers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food safety and quality assurance, with experience in a supervisory role. You will have a proven track record of delivering continuous improvement in technical and food safety standards. You will also have experience with 2nd and 3rd party standard requirements, working with demanding retail or similar customer bases, and detailed knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
