About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our MEP division in Plymouth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical design services for a variety of projects across different building sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement electrical design solutions for projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure design integrity and quality.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of project progress, including design documentation and communication with stakeholders.
  • Participate in design team meetings and contribute to the development of project proposals and tenders.

Our MEP team is a specialist in energy, sustainability, and engineering design. We bring buildings to life and create award-winning, high-performance environments that enhance the built environment. Our work includes building performance modeling, building performance optimization, carbon verification and validation strategies, daylight and sunlight studies, net-zero strategy, sustainability benchmarking and environmental assessments, sustainable master planning, and strategic utility management services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in electrical design engineering, preferably in a consulting or contracting environment.
  • Proficiency in BIM processes, Revit, IES, and other design software.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
