Bradford Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust is seeking professional, customer-focused security officers to ensure the welfare, safety, and security of its diverse hospital-based community and assets.
Key Responsibilities:- Respond to enquiries in person, by phone, or email, providing excellent customer service.
- Attend and respond to emergency situations, including fire alarm activations, evacuations, lockdown responses, and crime-related calls for service.
- Conduct general patrols of the hospital, including car parks, and issue parking charge notices as necessary.
- Carry out frequent patrols of Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust sites to deter and prevent security-related incidents.
- Investigate security-related incidents, including theft, criminal damage, assault, violence, and aggression.
- Review and assess security matters, providing advice to employees on improving security.
- Liaise with the Estates Department on security maintenance matters.
- Respond to intruder, lift, and fire alarms as required.
As a Security Officer, you will be part of a collaborative team working to provide the best possible care for patients. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of skills and expertise across West Yorkshire and Harrogate.
Requirements:- Hold a full clean UK driving licence and be over the age of 21 for insurance purposes.
- Have good assertion and customer care skills, written and verbal communication skills, and experience of note-taking and report writing.
- Be fully computer literate and flexible to follow a shift pattern to deliver a 24/7 service.
