At Serco, we are looking for a knowledgeable Microsoft Security Specialist to enhance our security tools transformation by strengthening our Microsoft Security capabilities. The primary goal is to maximize the benefits of our investment in Microsoft Security.

This position will collaborate with the operational security teams and support teams throughout Serco. The focus of this role is on developing and sustaining our internal capabilities and is not customer-facing.

Key Responsibilities:


• Advance and mature the Microsoft Security capabilities across Serco


• Improve existing security measures and assist in creating and executing a roadmap for enhancements that align with our Security Strategy and Microsoft's Security development plans


• Optimize configurations by utilizing Microsoft Security products to uphold and enhance our security posture, ensuring best practices while promoting efficiency across the Cyber Security division.


• Provide technical support and expertise to various teams, including Security Operations and Operational Support


• Serve as the Technical Subject Matter Expert for Microsoft Security tools within the Security domain and the broader organization


• Collaborate closely with Security teams and functions as necessary


• Engage in hands-on implementation of changes and improvements within the tools when required


• Comply with Serco's governance processes, including the creation of design documentation, standards, and guidelines


• Offer support and expertise for other non-Microsoft tools as needed.

Qualifications:

Candidates must possess expertise in Microsoft Security, with a comprehensive and technical understanding of all Microsoft security tools, including:


• Microsoft Sentinel, with extensive knowledge of integrations and advanced query development


• Microsoft Defender (Endpoint, Office, Cloud, and Identity)


• Microsoft Azure Services (Azure AD/Entra, Intune, Conditional Access, PIM, etc.)


• Legacy Microsoft products (On-Prem AD, Group Policy)

Candidates should have a background in Information Technology and/or Cyber Security tools, with at least 3 years of experience working with Microsoft Security products in either an implementation or advanced technical support capacity.

It is also advantageous for candidates to hold:


• An intermediate-level security qualification (such as Security+, CYSA+ or equivalent), or be in the process of obtaining these qualifications


• A Microsoft/Azure Security certification (such as AZ-) or equivalent
